Thunderstorms and Hurricanes

by Hansini

We used our tongues

like swords in a war.

Slicing through

the insecurities,

and exchanging

breaths of revolutions.

We were hurricanes

curled up in a satin blanket.

We were the thunderstorms,

wrapped in mortal bodies.
